Bible Survey

The Bible is divided into two main sections called the "Old" and the "New" Testaments. The word "testament" means a covenent or an agreement. Both covenants are sealed by "Blood", and both are mediated by a man.

the Old Covenent is sealed with the blood of animals, and is mediated by Moses.
the New Covenant is sealed with the blood of Jesus and is mediated by Jesus.

the Old Covenant flows from Mt. Sinia-speaks of Jerusalem    ---GAL.
the New Covenant flows from Mt. Calvary-speaks of New Jerusalem     ---GAL.

the Old Covenant gives a LAW and demands obedience
the New Covenant gives GRACE and demands belief

the Old Covenant is a foreshadowing -type and symbol
the New Covenant is the fulfillment-actual, real thing

" the New is in the Old contained -- the Old is in the New explained "
